The Women in Trucking Association is calling on transportation companies to take part in a new industry survey that collects data on women’s involvement in the industry. The survey data will be used to develop the 2026-27 WIT Index, conducted every two years to track the percentage of women working as professional truck drivers as well as in corporate management and functional roles. The survey is open to all for-hire carriers, private fleets, transportation intermediaries, railroads, ocean carriers, equipment manufacturers, and technology companies. Participating companies will receive an executive summary of the 2026-27 WIT Index for free. Approximately 28% in C-Suite and executive positions were women, 34.5% in supervisory leadership roles were women, and 29.5% of those who serve on boards of directors were women.
