Lab-Grown Meat continues to be a hot-button issue around the country, including right here in South Dakota. Ever since it first became a possibility, harsh criticism has been directed at the Lab-Grown Meat industry from several angles. Now, the state of South Dakota is taking up the issue with House Bill 1077. Does Lab Grown Meat (otherwise known as cell-cultured meat) fit the bill? Opponents of Cell-Cultured Meat argue ethical, economic, environmental and public perception concerns are all factors in stopping it from coming to South Dakota.
