Driven by rising regional demand and expanding industrial capacity in the Gulf and North Africa, Arab countries increased their production of crude steel by 7.2% in the first ten months of 2025, producing 36.048 million tons, according to 2025 data released by the Arab Iron and Steel Union. Production across the Arab region totaled 3.737 million tons in October alone, up 4.6% from a year earlier, reflecting steady and balanced performance across the Gulf, North Africa, and the Eastern Mediterranean. North Africa also posted gains despite mixed national results. Regional production reached 1.631 million tons in October, up 4.2%, while cumulative output rose 6.3% to 15.420 million tons. Morocco followed with October production up 11.3% and cumulative output rising 6.6% to 1.253 million tons.
