A charity poker tournament featuring “Seinfeld” star Jason Alexander and other celebrities will take place on Saturday, Feb. 7, to help raise money for the 1736 Family Crisis Center. The event will take place at the Manhattan Beach Community Church, 303 S. Peck Ave., beginning with poker lessons at 12:30 p.m. before the tournament starts at 1 p.m.. Ron Troupe, board president at 1736 Family Crisis Center, said in an interview this week that the organization currently has 200 volunteers supporting the center. That’s partly how we got our name, 1736 Projects, and later we changed it to Family Crisis Center.”As for the poker tournament, tickets are $100 for players and $75 for non-players. “Together, we can ensure that 1736 Family Crisis Center continues to be a haven and symbol of hope.”For more information, visit 1736fcc.org.
