The Holton Warhorses Legacy FundThe Holton Warhorses Legacy Fund was established in the aftermath of the devastating 2012 tornado that struck the town. The following nonprofits received grants from the Holton Warhorses Legacy Fund:Town of Holton Police Department received $263 to purchase first aid equipment for the police cruiser. Ripley County Historical Society received $500 to ensure that the Wreaths Across Ripley County program can honor the veterans laid to rest in the Holton and Holton Westcemeteries. “The character of our small communities are what make Ripley County so special,” stated Amy Streator, Executive Director, Ripley County Community Foundation.
