A Middletown man was arrested after allegedly chasing down and cutting off an ambulance rushing to an emergency in Wallkill, blocking the paramedic from reaching the call, according to New York State Police. The incident allegedly occurred Wednesday, Sep. 10, after an ambulance responded to an emergency call in the Town of Wallkill. At around 11:36 a.m. on County Route 78 near High Barney Road, investigators say a paramedic was driving a Town of Wawayanda ambulance with lights activated when the vehicle legally passed a 2001 Chrysler. The driver of that vehicle, identified as 47-year-old Terrill Osborne of Middletown, allegedly began following the ambulance at high speed and driving recklessly. He was released on an appearance ticket and is scheduled to appear in Wawayanda Town Court on October 9, 2025, at 3 p.m.
