The victim was identified as Randi, 22, who worked at a water treatment plant construction site. The Fire and Rescue Department (Bomba) said residents of Kampung Penasu informed them of the discovery around 8.30am. According to Bomba, it had launched a search-and-rescue operation for the victim on Sunday upon receiving a report of his disappearance. It said the search continued on Monday with assistance from villagers, police and the Civil Defence Force, and was set to resume today until the call came in informing of the body’s discovery.
