The signing ceremony took place at the institution in London yesterday between State Secretary Datuk Amar Mohamad Abu Bakar Marzuki and LSE Professor of Environmental Economics Susana Mourato. Witnessing the event were Sarawak Premier Datuk Patinggi Tan Sri Abang Johari Tun Openg and members of the state delegation. “However, conservation efforts require global recognition and stronger international cooperation,” he said in a Sarawak Public Communications Unit report. “The MoU is not merely a partnership but a framework that unites Sarawak’s natural and human capital with LSE’s expertise. This combination of strengths will generate knowledge, policies, and solutions that have an impact not only locally but also globally,” said Abang Johari.
