From: Femi Oyelola, KadunaAides to Senator Shehu Umar Buba, Chairman of the Senate Committee on National Security and Intelligence, have strongly denied allegations of his involvement with bandits and incitement of violence. Comrade Sabo Muhammad, Special Adviser on Media and Communications, described the allegations as “unsubstantiated” and part of a “sponsored campaign” aimed at tarnishing Senator Buba’s growing political influence. They note that insecurity is prevalent in Plateau State, suggesting that the allegations might be a diversion from this broader problem. Despite the accusations, Senator Buba’s aides maintain that he will continue to fulfill his duties as the only APC senator in Bauchi State. It should be noted that Senator Shehu Umar Buba is currently embroiled in controversy over alleged ties to bandits, with a dramatic standoff occurring in the Nigerian Senate.
