Kent might have literally been on the beach, or had some sort of collective psychosis where they forgot how to play cricket. But it has been a very strong season for many, and one which has exposed serious limitations in others. Coles also has 20 wickets and shows enough bowling skill to be a genuine allrounder rather than a part timer. But there's clearly momentum to do something different, and an equally clear lack of consensus on what that alternyshoild be. There's also high quality at times, and if everyone was available some teams would be of international quality.
