Tensions at Celtic Park boiled over in a different way on Saturday as two supporters were filmed venting their fury directly at chief executive Michael Nicholson during the goalless draw with Hibernian. The video, which has circulated widely on social media, shows the fans launching a verbal tirade from just beneath the directors’ box. Shouting up at the directors’ box may provide a moment of personal release, but it achieves nothing in terms of real change. In fact, it risks undermining more organised efforts currently being pushed by groups like the Celtic Fans Collective. Passion is never in doubt among Celtic fans, but passion alone won’t shift a board entrenched in inertia.
