Teams are investigating an incident where a suspect died while in police custody at the Komwamu police post, Isebania, Migori County. Police said the suspect died by suicide. Senior police officers visited the scene and confirmed he was being held at the post pending transfer to Isebania when the incident happened. Locals reported that the suspect was last seen talking to the minor who was a pupil at the Bushiri Primary School before he assaulted him. The suspect escaped the scene and police said on Sunday efforts to trace him were ongoing following the September 25, 2025 incident.
