The Russian embassy in Nairobi broke its silence over an incident where one of its national was arrested, questioned and deported over claims of being involved in a syndicate to traffic Kenyans to Moscow to join war against Ukraine. The foreigner was a key player in the cartel trafficking Kenyans to Russia to join the military, officials said. He is accused of involvement in a syndicate trafficking Kenyans to Russia to join the war against Ukraine. Gituku is being investigated for trafficking in persons contrary to the Counter Trafficking in Persons Act, 2010.
