GROTON — Chocolate has a way of making people smile, but behind every bite lies a story layered with history, intrigue, and even a little espionage.
The Groton Public Library will host a virtual presentation titled “The Politics of Chocolate with Cocoa Beantown” from 7 until 8:15 p.m. Tuesday, Sept. 30.
Kichuk has dedicated nearly 15 years to exploring, teaching, and sharing the world of chocolate as a chocolate sommelier.
She has worked as a consultant for chocolatiers, chocolate shop owners, hotels, restaurants, and bakeries, even helping a chocolate shop in Heidelberg, Germany dream up new products and ventures.
She has presented at prestigious institutions like Harvard and M.I.T., and her client list includes celebrity names — selling $50 worth of chocolate to Jillian Michaels and teaching acclaimed chef Gordon Hamersley about Boston’s chocolate history.
