NEW YORK/CAIRO, Sept 28 (MENA) – Minister of Foreign Affairs, Emigration and Egyptian Expatriates Badr Abdelatty underlined the need to intensify efforts to reach a ceasefire in the Gaza Strip and ensure the unimpeded flow of humanitarian aid.
The top diplomat gave the remarks during his meeting with United Nations Secretary General António Guterres on the sidelines of the UN General Assembly session in New York.
He reaffirmed Egypt’s full support for the role of the United Nations in maintaining international peace and security and in confronting growing global challenges.
Guterres also hailed Egypt’s efforts and vision in working towards stability in the Middle East.
he expressed Egypt’s full support for the various UN agencies operating under extremely difficult conditions in Gaza.
