The plan could see the old viaduct on the road to Bandon finally brought back into use as a spectacular cycling and walking 'Skyway' that would deliver a unique amenity to Cork. The Old Viaduct would be the central spot of the second leg of the route, if you're travelling from Kinsale. This towering bridge of stone and steel was built in 1849 and was used for the old West Cork railway, but it has been lying idle since 1961.
