Charlie Kirk’s assassination is calling Christians to boldly recall what it means to be Christian in America’s pluralistic society. I identified as a lesbian and went to seminary within the LGBT-affirming church movement until Jesus radically changed my life and redirected my path. The LGBT movement itself exposes the instability of any worldview based solely on human experience. We are in a key moment in time to prove Christians can look beyond LGBT politics to offer Christ’s loving call to a new life.
