The Tar Heels have now tied each of their four ACC matches so far, with two of those being scoreless draws. Virginia tripled Carolina’s total shot output 15-5, though only two of the Cavaliers’ shots were on target. UNC goalkeeper Andrew Cordes saved both to ensure the fourth clean sheet of the season for the Tar Heels. Saturday’s match was the first time all season Virginia had been held without a goal. The Tar Heels will stay on the road next week when they visit Louisville Friday, October 3 at 6 p.m.
