The Luxembourg co-produced feature film Six jours ce printemps-là (Six Days in Spring) received two top honours at the 73rd San Sebastián Film Festival, which concluded on Saturday.
Joachim Lafosse won the “Silver Shell for best director” and Lafosse, Chloé Duponchelle and Paul Ismaël won the “jury prize for best screenplay”.
The film was co-produced by Stenola Productions and Menuetto in Belgium, Les Films du Losange in France and Jani Thiltges at Samsa Film in Luxembourg.
It was the fourth time that Lafosse and Samsa Film had worked together and the director’s fifth film supported by the Luxembourg Film Fund, the publicly funded promotion body said in a press release.
The FIAPF has stated that San Sebastián is known “as an audience festival” and for “its support for new talents”.
