One fire crew attended the scene in Church Street, Tarvin, at about 3.25pm yesterday, Saturday, September 27. A spokesperson for Cheshire Fire and Rescue Service said: "Firefighters were called to a report of smoke behind a church in Tarvin. "On arrival they found that the smoke was a result of an out of control garden bonfire at a nearby property. "Crews used one hose reel to put the fire out and gave the occupier fire safety advice."
