The West Ada School District has hired a veteran broadcast journalist to head its communications team. Trustees voted unanimously Monday to hire Michelle Edmonds as chief communications officer. Edmonds has more than two decades of communications experience, including 18 years as evening anchor at KIVI-TV and KNIN-TV. “Now that my children are in college, this opportunity allows me to come full circle.”Edmonds will oversee internal and external communications for the state’s largest school district. “She will also play a critical role in strengthening community engagement and public trust,” according to West Ada’s news release, issued Tuesday.
