Reform is backed by millionaires and billionaires, members of the capitalist class who see that the traditional capitalist parties are failing and hope Reform will cut regulations and allow them to make more profits. Without the millstone of the capitalist class around our necks, we could divert scientific research away from arms manufacture and towards socially useful innovation. The capitalist class stands before us as the main obstacle to overcoming the fundamental challenges facing humanity, including climate change.
