Carolyn McKinley, 90, of Sullivan, IN, passed away at her residence Wednesday, August 20, 2025. She was born in Carlisle, IN, April 1, 1935, the daughter of Russell Phegley and Plummie Prose Phegley. Carolyn was a homemaker and helped her husband with the McKinley Trucking business. She was a member of the First Christian Church in Sullivan, IN, also the Joy of Jesus Signers. Carolyn was preceded in death by her parents; also husband, Larry McKinley; four brothers: William, John, Marion (Pud), and Jerry Phegley; two sisters: Alice Vaught and Ruth Pool; a grandson, Rob Pitts; and a daughter in-law, Diana McKinley. Survivors include three sons: Jim McKinley of Sullivan, IN, Randy McKinley (Deann) of Carlisle, and Dean McKinley (Cherlyn) of Sullivan, IN; three daughters: Beth Mackey (Allan) of Carlisle, IN, Sue Pitts (Greg) of Sullivan, IN, and Kandee Richardson (John) of Oaktown, IN; several nieces and nephews; 25 grandchildren; 41 great-grandchildren; and 17 great-great-grandchildren. Funeral services will be at 1:00PM Wednesday, August 27, 2025 at Brust Funeral Home in Sullivan, IN, with Rev. David Cox and Rev. Bill Sam Phegley officiating. Burial to follow in the Center Ridge Cemetery. Visitation will be from 4:00PM until 8:00PM Tuesday and before services Wednesday at Brust Funeral Home in Sullivan, IN.
