In today’s fast-changing global environment, there has been a sharp and rapid shift in how global leaders are prioritising risk, with geopolitical uncertainty, supply chain disruption and inflation becoming top concerns, a recent Beazley survey revealed.
The survey of 3,500 executives highlighted several areas of increasing concern for companies around the world, including political risk, damped growth ambitions, and disruption in the supply chain.
A majority of business leaders also feel that the current geopolitical and economic uncertainty will limit their growth plans.
Additionally, in response to geopolitical tensions, 87% of businesses expect to adjust suppliers or supply chains due to geopolitical tensions, compared to 75% – an increase from January to August.
The survey also revealed how boardroom priorities have changed over the years, with plans to review overseas security increasing to 32% in 2025 compared to a 23% in 2024.
