STATEMENT – Defend the Right to ProtestToday the Metropolitan Police has announced that no further action will be taken against nine of the leaders of the Palestine coalition and prominent supporters who took part in our protest on 18th January. We demand that the CPS immediately drop the charges against all of those charged for peacefully protesting on 18 January, and the police cease any ongoing investigations. We will be back on the streets tomorrow for an emergency protest in reponse to Israel’s attacks on Iran and the ongoing genocide in Gaza. And we will hold the next national demonstration calling for an end to all UK complicity with Israel’s oppression of the Palestinian people on Saturday 21 June.
