FREE The young Mexican singer and songwriter Dámaris Bójor is from the north of that country, and the sounds of Norteno music, and specifically the regional style known as campirano, are a main ingredient in her songs. But so is North American folk music, and Bojor has coined the term “folkpirano” to describe her distinctive blend of these styles. Many of her songs use only acoustic string instruments to evoke the arid but beautiful landscape of the Sonoran desert. Dámaris Bójor plays a free show on Jan. 29 at Lincoln Center’s David Rubinstein Atrium.
