Manchester United are one of five Premier League clubs that have been linked with signing a striker who could replace Rasmus Hojlund for them, according to stunning reports. United hijacked Newcastle’s approach for Benjamin Sesko and landed the 22-year-old Slovenia striker for an initial fee of £66.3m, with the deal worth £73.7m. Napoli signed Hojlund from United on deadline day and the Red Devils striker’s season-long loan spell includes a clause for a permanent transfer of £38m. Dusan Vlahovic had been linked with United in the summer before the Red Devils made their stunning summer swoop for Sesko from German side RB Leipzig. The 25-year-old striker is out of contract next summer and Dusan Vlahovic is free to speak with clubs outside of Italy in January 2026 and sign a pre-contract agreement.
