The Dubois County Art Guild’s goal in 2025 is to address loneliness and isolation among older residents in Dubois County. The Guild would like to encourage people to get up, get out and get active through the joys of creating art. Feeling of loneliness and isolation can become a health risk associated with a 29% increased risk of heart disease, 32% increased risk of stroke, and 50% increased risk of dementia for older adults. With help from the Community Impact Fund and Jasper Arts, the Dubois County Art Guild will host a FREE pastel workshop at the Ferdinand Community Center Mobel Room. Her work can be found at the Harrison County Arts in Corydon, Art on Main in Madison, and the Atelier in Louisville, Kentucky.
