The National Weather Service has issued additional information about recent tornados in San Juan County on Saturday, September 13. The second reported tornado touched down at 12:58 pm and lasted until 1:45 pm. Since 1950, The National Weather Services reports there have been six tornados in San Juan County. Both EF-2 rated tornados destroyed several homes, but no injuries were reported in either case. None of the other four tornadoes reported in San Juan County over the past 75 years were rated above EF-0.
