Groveland - Joan F. Cardinale 92, of Groveland, passed away peacefully on September 4, 2025 following a long illness.
Born in Lowell Mass, she was the daughter of the late Leo Williams and late Evelyn (Hamilton) Williams. She attended school in Chelmsford and proceeded to receive her Diploma RN at the Catherine Laboure College of health sciences. She was employed at the Grover Manor Hospital of Revere and at the Lynn Hospital Lynn, Ma.
After her marriage to Vincent, they moved to Peabody Ma. and raised their family there, living in her home for 45 years. She moved to Groveland in 2003.
Joan was a homemaker, enjoyed the Boston Red Sox attending many games at Fenway. She was an avid Celtics fan and Patriots fan. She enjoyed boating with Vincent and their New Hampshire Camp for many years. She loved visits with her grandchildren and great-grandchildren, dining out with family and friends and attending all family events she could. Summers were dedicated to grandchildren and children swimming at her pool. Christmas was also one of her favorite family holidays.
Joan was blessed with 47 years of marriage to Vincent who passed away in 2002. She is survived by her six children, Paul Cardinale and his wife, Beth McCarthy of Gloucester, Gail LeBlanc and her husband, Marc of Natick, Pamela Lynch and her husband, James of Georgetown, Julie Cardinale and her husband, Thomas Vidoni of Palm Bay, FL, Janice L'Italien of Haverhill and her partner, Frank Hall of Gloucester, Paula O'Connell and her husband, Phil of Essex and a sister-in-law, Gloria Williams of CT.
She truly loved her 15 grandchildren and 10 great grandchildren. Joan was predeceased by her brother, Donald Williams and aunt, Gladys Hamilton.
