Danvers - Joan E. (Wallace) Bentley, age 89, of Danvers, formerly of Lynn, died on Thursday, September 11, 2025 at Beverly Hospital. The daughter of the late William and Claretta (Hartley) Wallace, she graduated for Lynn Classical High School and the Chandler School for Women. She was employed for many years at GE in Lynn, initially as a secretary and at retirement, in a management position. She loved spending time with her family and extended family, and had many wonderful moments with her grandchildren including Sunday breakfasts throughout the years, complete with blueberry muffins. She enjoyed playing rummicub, with friends, was a vista volunteer and Operation Bootstrap coordinator for those wanting to receive their high school equivalent. Her happiest time was cruising in the Corvette with Neale. She leaves behind her partner of over 40 years, Neale Rich, her son, Donald Kuszmar and his wife Linda, granddaughters Lauren Gigiello and her husband Jason, Emily and Halle, her step daughter Valerie Peach and her husband Ronald, grandson Christopher, granddaughter Lisa and her late husband Rich Berthelette, great granddaughters Courtney and Kate, her step-daughter, Roberta Legere, her great grandsons Thomas and Tucker and late great-granddaughter, Nora, special friend the late Nancy Folan and special friend, Michael Burke. Also Neale's children Kristin Prentiss, husband Roby, and grandchildren, Matthew, his wife, Meaghan, and Zachary, his son, Jeffrey Rich and wife Lynne, granddaughters Alyssa and Kaylee. Her grandchildren had many loving names for her, including Grammie Joan, Grammie, Mimi, and Gigi. Love to you all. I'll be watching from up there. Mom, Joan, Grammie, Nana, Mimi, Gigi. Her funeral will be held on Friday at 11 a.m. in the Solimine Funeral Home 426 Broadway, Lynn. Burial will follow in Pine Grove Cemetery. Relatives and friends are respectfully invited to attend.
