Peabody - God received the last of his fantastic five on September 10th, 2025 as He welcomed Gloria into His kingdom. She is now at peace with her beloved siblings—Eleanor Brickley, Ann LaRosa, Rose Santagate, and Paul Vietro—as well as the love of her life, Genaro "Gerry" Colantuoni, and her cherished son, Henry (Hank) Colantuoni. Born and raised in Everett, Gloria was the devoted daughter of Mike Vietro and Connie Vietro (Trunfio), who immigrated from Avellino, Italy. Rooted in strong family values and a deep appreciation for life's sweet moments, it's no surprise that one of Gloria's first jobs was at Schrafft's candy company—a fitting beginning for someone known for her sweet tooth and even sweeter personality. She found happiness in the kitchen, on the dance floor, and during frequent trips to the casino, where she delighted in trying her luck at the slot machines. She shared countless cherished memories with her sisters, often laughing for hours over everything and nothing at all. She treasured those moments just as much as her vacations to the Frank Davis Resort and the Red Jacket, where she embraced life's simple pleasures with those she loved. She was most proud of her two sons and she beamed with pride watching her beloved Hank perform as the drummer for The Athenians. In her later years, one of her greatest joys was spending time at the Peabody Senior Center, where she formed lasting friendships and shared countless dances with partners who brought out her lighthearted, joyful spirit. Gloria is survived by her loving son, Gerald Colantuoni, grandchildren, Jeffrey Colantuoni and Jenelle Colantuoni, and great-grandchildren, Macklen and Tatum Rice. She also leaves behind many nieces and nephews, all of whom she adored deeply and treated like her own. Gloria's life was rich with love, laughter, and connection — the kind of joy that lingers in the hearts of everyone lucky enough to have known her. Visiting hours will be held at Conway Cahill-Brodeur Funeral Home, 82 Lynn Street, Peabody on Monday, September 22nd from 4 to 7 p.m. Her funeral service will be held at the funeral home on Tuesday afternoon at 1 p.m. Relatives and friends are invited to attend.
