During the early hours of Tuesday, September 17, a Public Security Secretariat (SSP) officer was struck by a car. A video circulating on social media shows the moment SSP officers attempted to assist the woman and requested assistance for her transfer to a hospital. Officers from the SSP’s State Investigation Police (PEI), in coordination with the State Attorney General’s Office (FGE), located and seized the car in a subdivision east of the city. Early Tuesday morning, the driver of a car struck and seriously injured a female officer. The driver of that vehicle fled after hitting the female officer.
