October 2025 Cold Front Forecast for Mexico
['Yucatan Times']
The Yucatan Times
According to the National Water Commission (Conagua), Mexico will experience five cold fronts during October 2025, as part of the broader 2025–2026 cold front season, which runs from September through May.
The first cold front of the season arrived on September 1, sweeping across northeastern Mexico with gusty winds and heavy rainfall in states like Coahuila, Nuevo León, and Tamaulipas.
By mid-September, three cold fronts had already passed, with two more expected before the month ends.
October’s cold fronts are forecast to bring cooler temperatures, especially in the Sierra Madre Occidental, where below-average minimums are anticipated.
Residents are advised to prepare for sudden temperature drops, especially in high-altitude areas and northern states.
