Two projects from the Technological University of Mayab were selected for the Program for the Strengthening of Scientific, Technological, and Innovation Knowledge, as part of the call for Researchers for Yucatán, promoted by the Secretariat of Science, Humanities, Technology, and Innovation (Secihti). One of the projects is conducted by Professor Efraín Castillo López, professor of Sustainable and Protected Agriculture. The plan includes the installation of demonstration modules, the design of a technological model appropriate for the region, and training workshops. The other project is by Professor Joel Israel Xool Clavel, professor of Information Technology. The prototype will be validated on a test plot, and its benefits in terms of production, costs, and water savings will be evaluated.
