Former Hoover High School standout and Alabama Crimson Tide legend Will Reichard is off to an absolutely incredible start in his NFL career with the Minnesota Vikings, now in his second year in the league. On Sunday afternoon though, Reichard broke new ground in terms of his dominance kicking field goals. For the second time, Reichard has broken his own record for longest field goal made by an Alabama alumnus after kicking a 58-yarder last year and a 59-yarder during week one of this season. Most impressively though, Reichard has now broken the Minnesota Vikings franchise record for longest ever kick, beating a a 61-yarder kicked by Greg Joseph back in 2022. Reichard has established himself already as one of the better kickers in all of football, and given Alabama’s lack of NFL kicking history, is already staking his claim for best Crimson Tide kicker in league history.
