NOTTINGHAM, PA. — Herr Foods, Inc. has promoted Troy Gunden to chief executive officer. He succeeds Ed Herr, who is stepping down from his CEO post and will transition to the role of executive chairman of the board. Gunden joined Herr Foods in 2004 as a route truck driver, and over the past 21 years has held multiple leadership positions, most recently as president for the past six years. In Gunden’s new role as president and CEO, he will “assume full responsibility for company operations,” according to the company. Herr, the son of the company’s founders James S and Miriam (Hershey) Herr, is a second-generation family member while Gunden, the son of June Gunden (Herr) and grandson of J.S.
