European company’s revenue jumps after US, Italian acquisitions

GHENT, BELGIUM — Acquisitions in the United States and Italy propelled Belgium-based Vandemoortele to a revenue gain of nearly l1% in the first half of the fiscal year.
Revenue increased to €1.05 billion ($1.24 billion) from €953 million in the same time of the previous year.
In April 2024, Vandemoortele acquired an 80% shareholding in Banneton Bakery, a manufacturer of freezer-to-oven croissants, Danishes and pastries in North America.
Revenue increased 12% to €648 million from €579 million, and volume increased 4.9%.
Revenue increased 3% to €363 million from €353 million.
