A HEIDEVELD mom had a bitter birthday on Sunday after her son called to tell her about his plans for her day, however 15 minutes later she received the news that he had been brutally murdered. Carol Fisher told the Daily Voice that her son Carlyle, known as “Tan” had surprised her with a pair of tekkies on 20 September, a day before her 47th birthday. The mom said: “I was sitting in the house and I just spoke to him like 15 minutes before I heard what happened. “He just told me to make sure I am washed and to make myself look pretty, because he still brought his gift on Saturday for me so I could wear it on my birthday. Carol suspects that her son was set up to go to the spot where he was murdered.
