Shooting in the 1200 block of North 11th Ave in Lanett on Sat., Sept. 20, leaves one injured Published 2:22 pm Monday, September 22, 2025Getting your Trinity Audio player ready...On Sept. 20 at approximately 7:27 p.m., the Chambers County Dispatch Center received multiple calls in reference to gunfire in the 1200 block of North 11th Ave in Lanett, AL. Upon arrival of officers, a 61-year-old black male was located in the 1200 block of North 11th Ave with a gunshot wound to his lower leg. The victim was transported from the scene by Lanett EMS before being airlifted to a regional medical center for treatment. Witnesses stated a white car and a red truck were seen in the area exchanging gunfire before fleeing.
