NFL Network Insider Tom Pelissero was first to report that the Indianapolis Colts will start Daniel Jones at quarterback this season over Anthony Richardson, who will serve as backup. He shared: “He’s [Jones] the starting quarterback for the season. I don’t want to have a short leash on that … You guys heard me talk about the consistency. Over 10 starts last season for the Giants, Jones completed 63.3% of his throws for 2,070 yards, eight scores and seven interceptions. Over 11 starts last season, Richardson completed just 47.7% of his throws for 1,814 yards, eight scores and 12 interceptions.
