New York Jets guard Alijah Vera-Tucker, 26, may miss the upcoming 2025-26 season after suffering an injury during practice on Tuesday. ESPN’s Adam Schefter posted on X that “Jets fear that guard Alijah Vera-Tucker suffered a season-ending torn tricep. He is getting a second opinion to confirm the injury and see if surgery is necessary;” Schefter later reported that “this is now the second time Jets G Alijah Vera-Tucker has suffered a triceps injury in his NFL career. The fifth-year guard played only seven games during the 2022 season after injuring his other triceps, and upon returning the following season, he missed 12 games with an Achilles tear. If he is out for the season, center Joe Tippmann could be potentially be shifted to right guard with Josh Myers going under center.
