San Francisco 49ers right tackle Colton McKivitz has agreed to a three-year, $45 million extension that will keep him in San Francisco through the 2028 season (per ESPN, who first reported the deal on Monday.) McKivitz’s agent Doug Hendrickson confirmed that the deal includes $27 million in guaranteed money. The 29-year-old McKivitz had been playing under a one-year, $7 million extension that he signed in March 2024 and now has a deal that ranks 14th best among right tackles in average annual value. McKivitz said just last week that the two sides were working on an extension, telling reporters: “I think it’s pretty open right now. San Francisco will face the New Orleans Saints (0-1) in Week 2 on Sunday in New Orleans.
