In the second keynote speech, Dr Alfred Rössler from Adler went on to emphasise the importance of a circular economy. In the technical presentations in the two sessions on bio-based and water-based coatings, experts from industry and academia presented their current approaches to solutions. In the networking activity on the second conference day it was again clear, in order to achieve the goals of the EU Green Deal, the coatings industry has to stand in unity. The next EC Conference Bio-based and Water-based will take place from 6th to 7th of May 2025 in Cologne, Germany and we are looking forward to see, how far the coatings industry has come until then.
