BASF has started talks with the works council on a new site agreement. The aim is to reach an agreement that takes into account both the planned restructuring of the Ludwigshafen site and the long-term security of jobs. The current site agreement, which excludes redundancies, runs until the end of the year. The works council emphasises that it wants to follow the proven success models of past agreements. The company emphasises that the existing site agreement has already had positive effects and enabled necessary adjustments to be made at the site.
