Arkema has started construction of a state-of-the-art distillation unit at its production site in Carling, France. The EUR 130 million investment aims to improve energy efficiency by 25% and reduce the carbon intensity of production by 20%. The new unit is designed to increase the site’s production capacity while implementing more environmentally friendly processes. Important site for the acrylates industryAround 100 of the site’s 385 employees are currently working on the project to construct the new unit. The new purification plant is scheduled to come on stream in 2026.
