BASF has increased its production capacity for polyester and polyurethane resins at its site in Caojing, China, from 8,000 tonnes to 18,800 tonnes per year. Opened in 2015, the facility is located in the Shanghai Chemical Industry Park (SCIP) and supplies the automotive industry in China and across the Asia-Pacific region with key raw materials for coatings. This latest expansion is part of BASF’s strategic approach to addressing the growing demand for automotive coatings in the region.
