A research team from Thailand has developed water-borne nanocomposite coatings based on cellulose nanocrystals (CNCs) and trimethyl chitosan (TMC) particles.
Furthermore, functionalised TMC particles were obtained via in-situ polymerisation, allowing the design of different core and shell types with tailored functionalities.
