A grand jury has weighed in with an indictment on a federal child pornography case against a Haverhill man who worked as a Seabrook, N.H., police officer. U.S. Attorney Leah B. Foley’s office said in a press release Friday a federal grand jury indicted John Giarrusso III on one count of receipt of child pornography. He was initially charged with possession of child pornography, distribution of material of a child in the nude and disseminating obscene matter to a minor. Federal prosecutors allege Giarrusso knowingly received video files around last Oct. 16 and 17 that depict child sexual abuse material. Seabrook Police Department said in an earlier release it was notified March 3 by Haverhill Police of Giarrusso’s arrest.
