WILMINGTON — Carter and Morgan O’Neil hiked their first 4,000-foot peak in the New Hampshire White Mountain National Forest at the ripe ages of 6 and 5.
Now, eight years later, the O’Neil children have hiked all 48 of the 4,000-footers in the White Mountains, a bucket list item for hikers everywhere and a feat that grants access to the Appalachian Mountain Club’s 4,000-Footer Club.
